This was a unique, multifaceted role that involved lots of diverse production skills. I spent 12 hour shifts operating PTZ cameras, recording decks, lav mics and master audio controls both during the day and overnight, as we rolled 24/7. While doing this, I took timecoded notes on the behavior of our contestant to aid post production team in finding viable content. I contributed to creative decision making and narrative development of the video, prompting our contestant for various types of content and ensuring cohesive story telling throughout.
Sitting at nearly 200 million views, this video goes beyond the typical Mr. Beast narrative. It tells a heartbreaking and inspiring story of our contestant Majd reclaiming his quality of life, despite devastating loss and setbacks along the way. 178 days of hard work resulted in Majd losing over 100 pounds and changing his entire worldview, attitude, and lifestyle. This video follows his journey and inspires others to do the same.
